Curly Hair Hits and Misses from The Inkey List

Did you know that The Inkey List released 15 different hair products at one time? Let’s Review them and discuss which ones are worth it!

PCA Bond Repair Hair Treatment - $13.99

Cassandra first tried this hoping it would fix her dry split ends, but she ended up being disappointed. The product wouldn’t even come out of the nozzle. It was very goopy and seemed to have separated in the package. But then, they came out with a mist version that sprays! Cassandra loved this formula change, and if you put it on your ends, it truly does help. However, it’s not as good as something like Olaplex. But, for the price, this product is definitely a win!

Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Hair Treatment- $10.99

At first, Cassandra couldn't get this product out of the bottle because she couldn’t squeeze it. But then, The Inkey List released a squeezable bottle, but even then, the product itself was just not good for Cassandra’s hair. To Cassandra, it feels like a liquidity hyaluronic acid serum, and it actually made her frizz worse even though that’s what it’s supposed to treat. So, if you are someone who has wavy hair or straight hair, maybe this product could work. But, Cassandra’s hair is very curly and frizzy.

Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Treatment - $15.99

The Inkey List did very well with this one. If you have acne on your scalp, blackheads in your hairline, or oil buildup, this product is so helpful.

This also works well for a crusty scalp and loose dandruff. Now, this is not going to cure dandruff or a scalp condition. If you have psoriasis, eczema, or seborrheic dermatitis, see a dermatologist, get a diagnosis, and perhaps a prescription. But, if you're someone who just has thick scalp buildup, this is a great choice. The application is very easy because of the nozzle, and it’s a very lightweight formula that doesn’t weigh down your hair.

How do you use a hair or scalp serum?

Cassandra massages the salicylic acid exfoliating scalp treatment into her hair after she shampoos. She does this after she’s out of the shower, or she sleeps with it on her scalp overnight.

This is a gem, but Cassandra is surprised that more skincare lines don’t have scalp treatments because it’s not that difficult to formulate for scalp care if a line is already doing skin care.

These are the hair treatments from The Inkey List that Cassandra likes a little less but and also the ones she loves!
